Kathleen and Ernest...it's about time!
Kathleen and Ernest met in Chicago, introduced by a mutual friend, while working at different restaurants. The Chicago relationship was short lived, to be continued in California. Working in the restaurant service industry, Kate planted herself in the beach towns of Manhattan Beach and Hermosa Beach. Ernie flourished in his position as a FedEx customs data entry clerk and later found himself working in a restaurant as a bartender. Together, they saved, and purchased a home in Long Beach. Kate pursued her career as a teacher while attending and graduating from California State University Long Beach. Ernie obtained a Cisco Networking certification and began his life as a network administrator for restaurants throughout the region.
But it was the time in between work and school where Kate and Ernie built their life together. The varied landscapes they visited in California guided them to some of the best times of their lives, with the best companions and members of their family. Jameson, Armitage, and Ezekiel represent the dogs who defy the common stereotypes and serve as protectors during the many trips to the Sierras. Since Jameson and Armi's passing, Zeik is kept company with their newest addition, Babette. The long drives, momentous hikes, and patient and fruitful fishing trips symbolize the beautiful fifteen year journey of Kate and Ernie.
